Who are my portraits for?
YOU! I will work with you to create an image you love. My unique portraits are a wonderful way to make a photo stand out from typical family or pet portraits (that's right--I can magickify your PETS too!) They make the perfect, personalized wall hanging for any space, be it your living room, bedroom, or office. (I've even had someone use one for their yearbook photo!) They also make great GIFTS for the fantasy lover, science fiction enthusiast, cosplayer, D&D player, LARPer, spooky season lover, or anyone interested in a unique portrait!
What makes my portraits special?

Since graduating with my BFA in 2010, I have honed my unique style of mixed media photography: I start with a photo of a person or animal and then use Photoshop to add layers of HAND painted elements and other photographs to create images that are whimsical, dreamy, fun, energetic, and truly magical. All of my work is created with ORIGINAL handmade paintings and photographs. I do NOT use stock photos or AI (artificial intelligence) to create any part of my work. I also do not reuse the painted layers between photographs, which ensures each image is as special and personalized as possible. All of this means you receive a truly UNIQUE portrait!

Send me a photo, and I will transform an ordinary snapshot or selfie into a work of fantastical mixed media art (remember, it's NOT AI!)
How Does It Work?
What Do I Get?
You’ll receive a Digital Copy* (PNG) of your portrait formatted to 8x10 (unless discussed otherwise), a standard size for printing/framing to make it easy for you to print and display! If you would prefer me to mail you a physical copy, I am happy to do so! Please note there is a small printing and shipping fee for this option.
*You will also receive a release to print images from the digital copies. This release means I forfeit any copyright to the images, except for promotional purposes. I will NOT resell any Fantasy Portraits.
When Will I Receive my Portrait?
I will do my best to complete orders as quickly as possible. Typically, I need at least 8-10 business days to complete an image. Need it faster? Send me a message and I'll see what I can do for you!

How Does It Work?
- Fill out the form below, including details about how you’d like me to transform the person or animal in your photo. Is there a particular creature you want them to look like, such as a fairy, angel, elf, witch, or mermaid? Would you like the image vertical or horizontal? What energy/attitude should the transformed person/animal have? Do you have any color preferences? Let your imagination go free and fill out the form below to get started!
- I’ll reach out with any clarifying questions and then ask you to send me a clear, in focus, high quality photo of the person/animal. Please note the photo you send me must be yours to give—I cannot work with copyrighted images. Photos taken on a phone can work!
- Once I can approve the photo’s quality, then the fun begins as I layer in my magic! Throughout this process, I will send you 2-3 in-progress drafts to ask for feedback. This gives you the opportunity to provide input for the final version. This part is important to me because I want you to be completely happy with your portrait! (Please note, I will make most revisions as needed, but more complicated revisions may incur an additional fee.)
- And finally, you’ll receive your Final portrait!

- Next, we will schedule a photo session where I will take some images of the model. Don’t worry—no modeling experience is necessary—just be your magical self! I am based in Morgantown, WV, but I am willing to travel. I may also be able to provide some costume/prop pieces if this is something you desire. The photo sessions are usually 30-60 minutes.
- After the photo session, I'll sort through the footage and select a few images as candidates for the transformation. I’ll send you these for input on which you prefer, and then I’ll begin to layer in the magic.
